For this Sunday Visual Diary, I would like to introduce to you the visual artist Yuni Kim Lang that caught my intention and has so many different artistic expressions in her work that left me pretty astonished!

Lang is a visual artist who creates sculptures, photographs and wearable art that explores themes of weight, mass, accumulation, hair and cultural identity. She creates sculptures out of rope and synthetic materials where it transcends its materiality and become bodily. She is fascinated by what people give power and meaning to, along with our obsession with adornment.

Crochet Wall Hangings | Deco Friday

Missed me? The last months I’ve been really busy and struggled with time. Today, though I decided to do a come back with a Deco Friday post about Crochet wall hangings. We are all used to see macrame wall hangings, but what about crochet?

Below you will find some crocheted wall hangings ideas that I came across and found really interested. Follow the links for instructions and even more inspiration! Hope it will motivate you to try it!

This crocheted version from DeBrosseNYC that you can find here, is a very original design, which looks like nothing else I have seen before!

This is a multi strand free form crochet wall hanging idea from Meganmakesdo pretty awesome, no?

Here is another version from Craftingforweeks that is a monochromatic version with a simplicity and a touch of vintage feeling!

Yet another design from This Pixie creates with an easy to follow pattern!

And you can see here my own crochet wall hanging work in progress, based on the above pattern, but with a monochromatic aspect and T-shirt yarn, that makes it chunkier!

A very original idea from Love and Stitch, that really impressed me and probably will be one of my future projects!

Also a monochromatic version of crochet wall hanging from The country Willow, that comes with a kind of a rustic feeling to try out!

And as a last inspiration project, an idea from Two of Wands , that impress with its colour and scale and also looks a lot like a macrame project!

Cotton cord bracelets

This week I tried some new ideas on cotton cord crochet bracelets, just to continue on crocheting cotton rope I started here and here on my previous posts. I chose a cream white and black cord and went for a minimal aesthetics with a different ending stitch all around. You can wear a single one or combine 2 or 3 of them.
